Background

HUMS is a utility management system that relies on a decentralized utility concept with an interactive component that employs machine learning to deliver water usage suggestions to residents. Research is ongoing to study the applicability of residents being able to sustain a high quality of life with 10,000 gallons of rainwater storage capacity serving as the home’s sole potable water supply. This project uses rainwater harvesting and technology to help teach residents how to maximize water usage and conserve their local water resources.
